Prayers for Companions and associates

The Daily Act of Oblation

Ant. He ordained twelve, that they should be with him.

V. Lo, I am with you always.
R. Even to the end of the world.

Let us pray.
Lord Jesus Christ, the great High Priest, you gave yourself for us an offering and sacrifice to God, and you have called us to be partakers in that same priesthood; accept, we beseech you, our entire liberty, our memory, our understanding and all that we are and have; and grant that we, being made conformable to your death, may also be partakers in the glory of your resurrection; for you live and reign with the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, throughout all ages. Amen.

The Angelus

V. The angel of the Lord announced unto Mary.
R. And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord;
R. Be it unto me according to your word.

Hail, Mary... Holy Mary...

V. And the Word was made flesh,
R. And dwelt among us.

Hail, Mary... Holy Mary...

V. Pray for us, 0 holy Mother of God,
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray.
Pour your grace into our hearts, 0 Lord, that we who have known the incarnation of your Son Jesus Christ, announced by an angel to the Virgin Mary, may by his cross and passion be brought to the glory of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Life Vows...

Fr. Bob Hufford makes his life vows and promises in the Congregation of the Compaions of the Holy Saviour. This took place on Wednesday, May 30, during the Companion's annual Chapter. This year the Chapter met at the Community of the Transfiguration in Glendale, Ohio. In the photo, Fr. Bob signs his statement of assent in the presence of another life vowed Companion, Br. Frank Stern, and the Companion's Episcopal Visitor, the Rt. Rev'd. Keith Ackerman, SSC.
